What were your comments on Manny being Manny and that you don't want to take your kid to see that on the field?! That is just crazy and so wrong! As Jim Rome just said "You would be denying life pleasures of seeing the BEST at his game, and is just so wrong" What were your comments on this? I can't believe you would say and think such a thing.

Manny is not the greatest Red Sox player to ever play the monstah PERIOD . he never will be either . he could how ever become ONE of the greatest hitters we've ever seen in boston NAY&RED , but for Manny to say he's the GREATEST EVER to play in LEFT FIELD , with all due respect Man Ram , no . that dubiouse distiction belongs to the "Splended Splinter" the "Kid" he goes by many other names , including WAR HERO and Mr. .400 , this mans name (incase you haven't figured it out yet ) is Mr. Theodore Williams .
GO RED SOX !!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to hear how the Green Monster has changed. It seems to still be mostly tin, but I was never able to get close to it until a couple of years ago.

The wall was tin and concrete and there was no padding in any part of the outfield fences. I guess that was a big problem for Fred Lynn who would rarely slow his sprint when approaching the wall.

Carl: It was tin for a while, then they changed it to hard plastic. Other than that (and the ads), I don't think much else has changed physically.

I hope Manny never leaves. He is hilarious.

The other day he said the Sox should trade Julian Tavarez for one of the sausages that races the hotdogs during the 7th inning stretch in Milwaukee.

Amazing.

I just came across this blog recently; I love it.

It probably has something to do with the fact that I've had the numbers 1978 .315 46 139 406 branded in my mind for thirty years.

Tell Manny to get in line.
